Each time these kids try to get away, dang it, Daddy keeps pulling them back in.

The male peafowl fans out his extravagant plumage in a ritualistic courtship display, strutting and fluttering his feathery ocelli for the ladies. So is it about attraction and selection? Researchers have recently found that females do prefer eye-shapes over other shapes. Apparently, the eyes do have it.

In the Meadows of Franklin Delano Roosevelt (FDR) Park, it could be a remnant of change going on in this natural area as part of the park’s major redesign.
