Today there seems to be some kindly of a contest going on to kick around this funny lookin' little pumpkin. Just like Andy Griffith describes in his classic comedy routine, two bunches of men will run at one another and kick one another and throw one another down and stomp on one another and grind their feet into one another in order to play with it. For the past six months 32 NFL bunches have battled to see who gets to the pinnacle of all pumpkin kicking -- Super Bowl LIX.

Music is art and art is music. Why not hang a turntable in the gallery? The earliest invention of a sound recording device wasn’t to create audio, but to create a drawing using audio. The phonautograph patented in 1857 by Édouard-Léon Scott de Martinville transcribed sound waves into visual lines onto paper with a vibrating pen. DJ Martinville booming out the doodles!

Walk by any pool or fountain and you’re likely to see coins in the water. The tradition is longstanding and cross-cultural, dating back to Ancient Rome and Indian civilizations. Throw in gold, silver or copper coins, say a prayer or make a wish and wait to see what happens. Pierre S. du Pont made ingenious use of gravity in his design of the Main Fountain Garden. But when he combined those techniques with mechanisms powered by electricity, he created something unique for a private estate in the early 20th century: the illuminated fountain garden. The Historic Pumphouse once thrummed with power, supplying electrical current to the illuminated fountains and to electric pumps in the Pump Room next door. Two air compressors provided the pressurized air that could boost jet height during the final moments of a fountain show.

Place the hot dogs, celery, onion, parsley, and potatoes in about 1-1/2 - 2 quarts water in a large soup pot. Boil until vegetables are tender. Add the tomatoes and juice from the can. Season to taste. Before serving, add the noodles to the boiling liquid. You may need to add more liquid at this point.
