My Fractal series began a number of years back, originally based on patterns in nature and now can be anything --a jar of paint brushes, a mosh pit at a concert, a classic painting, or even a drain cover. I call it “a series of what ifs.” I start by defining and photographing a texture. I cut that and multiply into four segments and then rotate them. These rotations change the image to become a pattern, progressing over time into multiple derivative steps.

Spiraling from the central apex to the outer shell edge, the colorful lines of the moon snail's shell looks a lot like an eye. Fittingly, this predatory marine gastropod mollusk is also called a Shark Eye, and is staring back at you from atop the glass coffee table.

For seven days and eight nights Passover is celebrated around the world by the Jewish People, commemorating the redemption from slavery and Exodus of the Israelites from Egypt. The focal point of the Passover Seder is a Round plate symbolizing the circle of life. Specific foods are used to tell the story, including: Beitzah (roasted egg), Charoset (fruit and nut chutney), Zaroa (shankbone), Karpas (vegetable, potato), Chazeret (bitter herb, romaine lettuce), and Maror (bitter herb, parsley). “Let all those who are hungry, come and eat.”
