Getting stranded by a flat tire is a stressful event even if you have all the right tools in the trunk and your spare is in good shape. Loosening the lug nuts, getting the car jacked up, changing the tire in wind, rain, snow or broiling heat is not fun. So, maybe its understandable that you abandon the hubcap once you're done.

Like four busted little ping pong balls, these snapping turtle eggs have hatched the occupants into the wild. In the spring, a turtle mom will lay 20, 40 sometimes as many as 100 eggs in her nest, bury it, and then just lets the chips fall where they lay. Maybe these little snappers survived, maybe they were eaten by crows or raccoons, we don't know. But a staggering 90% of turtle eggs and babies are wiped out before they ever reach the pond. Duck and cover, lil' snapper!
