A bubbling Round at the water's surface keeps fish, plants and water healthy. If your pond is basically a hole in the ground lined with a plastic sheet then you need a filter to maintain a nutrient balance. Your fish will thank you.

It’s easy to imagine the systems of pipes, tunnels, and sewers running underneath city sidewalks. Even in the middle of a grassy park, this Round water run-off grate reminds you there is more than dirt and worms beneath your feet.

You don't need dirt. You don't need much water. The Tillandsia get most of what they need right out of the air, ergo their "air plant" nickname. Every couple weeks they'll enjoy a good soaking, but otherwise all good. You still need to talk to them every day, though.

There's a threatening looking snail mob down at the waters edge, and it's not really clear what they're up to; just sitting there motionless for the past several hours. But rumors have run rampant that gang activity can quickly spiral out of control. Hey! Move along there! Break up that escargatoire and you mollusks crawl on your way.

People come to New Orleans for Mardi Gras, Creole food, the music, museum conferences... but most of all for a good time. And when you're out enjoying a stroll in the French Quarter, its OK to enjoy your favorite beverage, too, as long as it's in a non-glass open container.

Fishing may very well be the sport that engenders the most tall tales. You know "The One That Got Away" plot: storytelling fisherman hooks a real monster AND battles valiantly to reel it in AND it is the biggest fish ever caught in Everytown Lake BUT, alas... it breaks the line and gets away. This was one of those tales. Until the boat was up on the trailer and the dead-eyed truth was staring back for all to see.

In the tank at the Love City Brewery, a Sylvie Stout nears the end of its fermenting process. The Sylvie is a traditional English stout brewed up with oats, roasted malts and a bit of chocolate for good measure. Soon enough, a hose will be hooked up to this nozzle and the brew will begin its final journey to the keg. In the tasting, they say it has coffee and chocolate notes with a smooth, round mouthfeel. We like that.

Every good patriot needs a spot to plant their flag. To show your colors prominently billowing in the breeze, you need a mount right out front of the house on the edge of the balcony.
