This day of romance and affection has various legendary origin stories involving St. Valentine, a priest in third century Rome. He may have performed secret marriages in defiance of a Roman decree, or he may have helped Christian prisoners escape, or while imprisoned himself, he may have secretly sent the very first Valentine to his lover, signed appropriately enough: "from your Valentine." In most versions of this legend, the ending is not a happy one.

This bucket contains a submerged hose in water which prevents oxygen from entering the tank and spoiling the batch. To ensure the stainless steel reservoir doesn’t “blow its top” the tank must be vented to release the carbon dioxide gas… or yeast farts!
