I am a Fern. That's my job. An honorable member of the class of Polypodiopsida, nonflowering vascular plants that reproduce by spores. I'm old, yes, my kind has been around more than 350 million years, and there are nearly 15,000 fern species. Been doing things my way for a long time. But we have very high powers of long-distance dispersal, and I can self-fertilize. Uh, yes... while technically I could be put into a pot, and therefore be a potted plant, I am not... in fact... at this moment... a potted plant.
