Another year full of days has gone by and in a few hours the New Year's countdown and ball drop tradition will start up again in Times Square. A new ball's a comin' down and we'll be ringing in 2018 with noisemakers, confetti, kisses and singing Auld Lang Syne. Over in Scotland, when the song is sung it is common practice to join hands and form a circle around the dance floor, cross arms, rush to the middle and then out again. Take a cup o' kindness yet!
