Super Flower Blood Moon Lunar Eclipse Round
Every now and then, celestial objects get close in special ways. Wednesday, May 26th brings us the first total lunar eclipse in more than two years when the orbits of the Sun, Earth and Moon align and the Moon passes fully into Earth's shadow. The Earth's umbra casts red-orange refracted light onto the Moon, giving it an eerie blood red appearance. The super size is because the Moon has reached its closest distance from Earth in its orbit. Get your eyes on the skies!
