To Flute Or Not To Flute Round
Give me the cups; And let the champagne pour.
Whether 'tis nobler in the tasting
To drink from either flute or coupe
Of available stemware?
A tulip shape may dramatize the show of tiny bubbles,
But some say diminishes flavor to the tongue,
And scent to the nose.
Whilst to others a glass with a broad lip
Brings a ring of aroma to the fore. Or not?
'Tis a debate that many wrestle,
Yet remains unproven by the science.
Whatever the tragedy, just pour the bubbly.
The King must drink to Hamlet.
