Consciousness implies existence. But hold on there, Descartes, here's a thought -- it is not really possible to know what existence is real. After all, if your perceptions are just electrical impulses stimulating a brain inside a body, you could just as easily be a brain in a bubble, with every experience and sensation being controlled by a mad science museum designer with a diabolical interpretive plan.
