Looks like a giant hen-of-the-woods has invaded your backyard. About the size of a frisbee, that is one huge cluster fungus. But not the biggest by far. A monster colony of genetically identical honey mushrooms has existed in the Blue Mountains of Oregon for more than 2,400 years and now covers at least four square miles. Not in my backyard!
