Flowing Through Nantucket Round
An old pipe cover in Nantucket, Massachusetts is a small marker of an 89 mile network of water mains from little 2 inchers up to diameters of 16 inches. During the year on the island, about 630 million gallons of water get pumped out of a sole source aquifer to residents for drinking water. And it is all replaced by rainfall during the year.
