Skewering the Deli Sandwich Round
The architectural challenges to be faced with a deli sandwich are compounded by the number and type of ingredients. Salami can be stacked in a fairly regular fashion, while a mound of roast beef is going to cause some skew. A romaine lettuce leaf will be easier to anchor than shredded iceberg. Tomato -- that slippery thing needs some mayo to mortar it to the rye. Cole slaw -- forget it. What you need is an extra long toothpick Round to stabilize the core. Lunch served.
