Holey Brick Round
If you were asking "why do bricks have holes", the answer is not "so they look like Legos." But that's close. Structural building bricks have 2-3 holes to allow mortar to fill the "keyway" between and create stronger stability for walls and foundations. But also, the holes are extruded so that the brick can be evenly dried and fired and lessen the chances of cracking or splitting.
