The Prow Bow Round
On the prow of the SS United States docked in Philadelphia is a bow-shaped anchor with a Round at the center. Even in her rusty, worn state, the old girl is still dressed in evening wear. This once regal ocean liner from the 1950s was luxuriously outfitted from top to bottom and was the fastest liner to cross Atlantic in either direction. There was no wood used in its construction, and everything from furniture to fabrics and fittings were custom made in glass, metal and spun glass fiber.
