The Tabachin Ribbon Round
With a few little scraps of metal and some yellow paint, maybe you could twist up a 13-foot-diameter sculpture for your front yard. Maybe. At around 8,000 pounds, The Tabachin Ribbon is bolted together from five separate pieces and sits on the plaza in front of the Public Safety and Courts building in Fort Worth, Texas. Created by Mexican artist Yvonne Domenge, it is named after a brightly colored Madagascar tree and was originally part of a larger installation at the 2011 Millennium Park exhibition in Chicago.
