The cool thing about the Hoberman Sphere is that it grows! Throughout the day it undulates above the heads of visitors at Liberty Science Center. Designed by artist/engineer Chuck Hoberman in 1992, this complex structure contains hundreds of scissor-like connectors allowing it to expand from a 4.5 foot diameter up to a whopping 18 feet.
