Artsy And Fartsy Round
Art museums display collections of paintings, sculptures and installations that can be beautiful, inspiring, and very often serious. Humorous? Irreverent? You bet! In the lower level gallery at the American Visionary Art Museum in Baltimore, MD is a work that’s both artsy and fartsy! “Flatulence Post” presents an interactive assemblage of books, news clippings, historical stories, whimsical quotes, pictures, drawings and paintings as a mirror of fart humor throughout the ages. If the collage isn’t enough to look at, you can also step on the console and be serenaded by 60 different fart sounds. But if you smell something… that’s not the art.
