Interwoven Round
“Interwoven” is a comprehensive exhibition of the work of Anila Quayyum Agha who was born in Lahore, Pakistan, in 1965 and immigrated to the United States in 1999. This journey informs her art, a rich visual tapestry inspired by her personal experiences and various sources, such as Indo-Islamic architecture, South Asian textiles, and the California Light ans Space movement. Agha blends traditional craft techniques, like embroidery and beading, with modern materials and methods challenging the boundaries between art and craft.
