Full Moon Through Branches Round
Today’s full moon is known as a Flower Moon, a name inspired by the spring season and attributed to Native American Algonquin people. It is also a micromoon, meaning its orbit has reached apogee — its farthest distance from Earth — therefore appearing about 14% smaller and 30% dimmer than usual.
