When Squirrels Dream Round
Squirrels are collectors, and in their mad scurry to prepare for winter will gather and bury as many as 3,000 nuts and seeds into their personal museums. Their accessioning techniques are larder hoarding (burying in one or two locations), and scatter hoarding (splitting a collection across multiple locations) and they remember exactly where they stash the goods. When squirrels dream, it is of giant nuts laying in the open grass like bronze sculptures, too heavy to carry, too big to bury. Or is that a nightmare?
