Leaping Round
We're at the leaping moment. An intercalary event. The bissexitile year. The orbit of the Earth around the Sun takes 8,766 hours and 9 minutes, which don't divide cleanly into 24-hour days. We're left with some extra time on our hands, and you can't have a thin sliver of a day on the calendar. So, every four years an additional day is tacked onto February to correct the grand astronomical difference.
