February 10th marked the beginning of the Lunar New Year with a brand new zodiac animal as the symbol -- the Dragon! As the only mythical creature among the 12 Chinese zodiac signs, the Dragon carries a special mystique, representing strength and great leadership. Chinese zodiac animals are also paired with a heavenly stem, one of five elements -- metal, water, wood, fire and earth. In 2024, the heavenly stem “Jia” (wood) and the earthly branch “Chen” (Dragon), means this is the Year of the Wood Dragon.
