Petrified Tree Cookie Recipe Round
1. In a very large bowl, mix together dirt and sand with a variety of dissolved minerals such as quartz, chalcedony, agate or opal.
2. Gently whisk water into sediment for a short period of time until moist but not watery. Beat in egg and vanilla if desired; set wet sediment aside.
3. Slice tree trunk into Round cookie shapes, leave bark in place. Pour sediment mixture into hollowed out ground space.
4. Quickly bury wood cookies into sediment mixture making sure all surfaces are covered completely, allowing in no oxygen.
5. Bake underground on medium for a couple hundred thousand years.
