Endless Future Times Round
There is a lot to see around Trinity College in Dublin. Of course, Ireland’s oldest university has been the home of the Book of Kells since it arrived for safekeeping in 1661. But its Library contains around 7 million books and manuscripts, including a rare copy of the 1916 Proclamation of the Irish Republic. The university has a prestigious reputation in research Sciences, Law, Medicine and Psychology. Founded in 1592 by Queen Elizabeth I, its motto is “Perpetuis futuris temporibus duraturam” – it will last into endless future times. And its Coat of Arms include the harp, the book, the castle, and the lion – emblems that appear everywhere, even on door knockers.
