Building A Better Wormhole Machine Round
While we wait on the server to bring our drinks, here's a thought experiment: How many rings does it take to build a wormhole machine? Three? Eight? Let's start with a small model hanging from the restaurant ceiling and test it out. Working with principles of general relativity, as the chandelier rings begin to rotate faster and faster to the speed of light, theoretically a rift in the fabric of spacetime will open up at the center of the sphere. So... could we cross that event horizon? Where would you want to travel? Maybe we could be back by the time appetizers are served.
