The Mushroom Song Round
Chestnut mushrooms on a rotting log
Eat them only if you know
A tiny taste doesn't burn like a fire
Or gills don’t smell like dirty clothes
Foragers will know that mushrooms with a bulbous sack
Cause a queasy stomach night
Drenched in sweat with your eyes all aglow
You'll find it hard to sleep at night
And so I'm offering this simple phrase
To kids from one to ninety-six
Although it's been said many times, many ways
Mushrooms can make you sick
