Telling Time on a Cloudy Day Round
To access accurate time keeping you have your Coordinated Universal Time, and your standard-frequency and time-signal emissions, and your International Atomic Time with leap seconds added at irregular intervals, and global satellite positioning of your mobile device. But you can always rely on the sun. With a sundial all you have to have is a gnomon that casts a shadow. With a particular size for your latitude. Make sure to add or subtract minutes based on your location within your time zone. And remember to account for daylight-saving time, and elevate or lower the sundial if the time doesn't seem accurate. Except on a cloudy day, then...well, you'll just be late.
