Bursting into bloom this morning, the Zantedeschia elliottiana, or Golden Calla Lily, looks like it is on fire. The tall, trumpet-shaped spathe curls in a spiraling tube around a central spadix, which is actually packed densely with tiny flowers. You can water all you want, but you can't douse this eternal flame!
