Lead Your Horse To Water Round
Outside of the Fireman's Hall Museum in Old City Philadelphia a large water trough remains from times when horses pulled fire engines, carriages and wagons all around the City. From the American Revolution to World War I, industrialization during the "golden age of horse power" meant that a Philly resident would have encountered more horses in a day than a cowboy in Montana. There's still a few carriages working the Historic District, and the Fletcher Street Urban Riding Club maintains a 100-year old tradition of black cowboys in the city. And all those horses are thirsty!
