Blazing Star Buds With Bug Round
The Liatris spicata is a native species plant with a dense spiky flower head that bursts with multiple, mini florets during the summer and fall. As the inflorescence fireworks get started, the small clustered buds bloom into purple star-shaped flowers with tufts that give the plant a fuzzy, feathery appearance in the garden. Hence the name "Blazing Star". With bug, too.
