Harry Kalas was a Hall of Fame Sports Broadcaster who was the voice of the Philadelphia Phillies radio and television broadcasts from 1971 until his death in 2009. He died of a heart attack in the announcer’s booth before a game versus the Nationals on April 13th. With a legendary career he called six no-hit games, six National League Championship Series, and three World Series in 1983, 1993, and 2008. He is buried in Laurel Hill Cemetery in Philadelphia, with a large microphone monument, sod from Citizens Bank Park, and seats from Veterans Stadium. Go pay your respects, have a seat, and leave a penny.
