At this time of year the classic movie "It's A Wonderful Life" will be playing on TV somewhere. Early in the story, George Bailey consoles his youngest daughter Zuzu after the petals fall off a flower she brought home from school. He pretends to reattach the petals, but puts them into his pocket instead. Later, after Clarence the angel guides George through a world where he never existed, it is Zuzu's petals that symbolize his return to a wonderful life.
