What's So Ambiguous About Round
Through perceptual psychology one can study how image forms and visual phenomena are interpreted. Ambiguous images are famous for the ability to induce multiple perceptions and binocular rivalries. Wittgenstein would use the rabbit-duck illusion to test interpretation versus perception -- is this a rabbit? A duck? Both? The Necker cube might be coming toward you or going away from you, depending on how you look at it. Can you walk up Schroeder's staircase or will you fall down it? Is this Round a tree ring or a nipple?
