In the Navel of the Bean Round
Navel gazing could make you dizzy, especially on your birthday or if you're staring at warped and distorted reflections inside the underbelly of "The Bean." Nicknamed because of its shape, this giant 33 x 66 x 42 foot highly polished, seamless, stainless steel sculpture is officially named "Cloud Gate" because it is a mirror for everything around it, mostly reflecting the sky. Created by Indian-born British artist Sir Anish Kapoor in 2004, it sits at the center of AT&T Plaza at Millennium Park in the Loop community area of Chicago, Illinois.
