And so the Madness must come to an end. The thrilled Jayhawk victors have cut down the nets, and the agonized Tar Heels wonder in defeat what could have been. But look, we have more important questions... How many perfect swishes does it take to shred a net? Should a basket made on a goal with no net count for more points? Two and a half? Why do we say we want to play “round ball” when we’re talking about basketball? Aren’t soccer balls round? And baseballs? And tennis balls? Why aren’t those round ball games?
