Rack 'em Up Round
Rack up the Rounds and break out the trouble – with a capital "T" and that rhymes with "P" and that stands for pool! Billiards has been around a long time, and though in 1957 The Music Man played on the game's reputation with saloons, gambling and immoral characters from which to protect your children, early on it was a game of gentlemen and kings. King Louis XIV had a table in France in the 1400s. Across the water in England, Shakespeare references the game numerous times in plays from the 1600s. By the 1850s it was so popular that Philadelphia had tables in smoky saloons as well as exclusive men’s clubs, and even hosted the first American Billiards Championship. Now that's trouble!
