The Scarlet Star Round
The bromeliad ball hanging from the conservatory ceiling is the Guzmania lingulata, also known as the Scarlet Star because of its orange and red star-shaped rosettes. These “tufted airplants” are epiphytes, growing on the surface of other plants and deriving moisture and nutrients from the air and water around.
