Standing On The Button Round
When Karen Donnelly Park in Pennsport was rebuilt in 2010, the green space was outfitted with new sapling trees, playground equipment, permanent seats and checkerboards, and a mysterious 10-foot wide metal button in the middle. Smooth and shiny at first, the silver Round was fun to climb on and slide over, but too hot to touch in the sun. Nowadays the shade of the grown trees and a few coats of paint keep it cooler. Climb on and see!
