Inside the U.S. Custom House in Old City Philadelphia, a three-story rotunda anchors the building's axial floor plan. On either side of the rotunda are two sets of circular stairs leading toward the secondary domes of the upper floors. The spectacular spiraling view is like a vision directly from Tim Burton's mind, though he wasn't the architect.
