The Umbrella Sky Project was born in Agueda, Portugal, in 2012, developed by the creative agency Sextafeira Produções. The installation debuted in Pittsburgh at the 2017 Dollar Bank Three Rivers Arts Festival as visitors flooded social media with colorful selfies and vibrant photography. Five years later, this new edition of the fan-favorite installation casts its canopy of color across the sky in downtown Pittsburgh's Cultural District.
