Nativity Tower Staircase Round
The Basílica i Temple Expiatori de la Sagrada Família in Barcelona, Spain is the largest unfinished Roman Catholic church, a rich and ornate design by architect Antoni Gaudí. It is a marvel with many portals, towers, staircases and spires symbolizing intricate religious themes. Construction began in 1882, and when Gaudí took over the project the next year he may never have imagined he'd spend the rest of his life on it. When he was buried in the crypt in 1926 only a quarter of the project was complete. It remained unfinished in the ensuing decades of start and stop work, and current expectations for its completion are by 2026, a century after Gaudí's death.
