The Upside Down Round
The classic Pineapple Upside Down Cake is made in one direction and then eaten in the other. Assembled from the bottom up, pineapple slices and sweet candied cherries are arranged first, with vanilla cake batter poured on top. Once baked, the final flip onto a serving platter puts the Rounds to the top, with glistening, caramelized edges. Now, where's that knife?
