German wheel gymnastics was created in Germany by Otto Feick in 1925 and exhibited at the 1936 Olympic games in Berlin. The performer starts the wheel revolving with a rocking motion, then combines athleticism with graceful choreography as the wheel rolls and spins around the performance area.
