The Seattle Great Wheel Round
Pleasure wheels have been around since the 17th century. In those days, you'd sit on a chair suspended from a large wooden ring while strong men would turn the crank. Seattle rolled out their Great Wheel in 2012, a 175 foot tall Round on the waterfront at Pier 57. With 42 fully-enclosed gondolas, you can sit in comfort for three full revolutions of the wheel while gazing at beautiful Elliott Bay. No strong men required!
