Santa Barbara Buoy Round
Out in the Santa Barbara Harbor a blue buoy marks a spot, maybe a warning for boats moving around the water or part of an underwater monitoring program at the Ty Warner Sea Center on historic Stearns Wharf. You can have some very close encounters with various marine animals at the aquarium: crabs scuttling through tubes; anemones waving their tentacles in unison; or if you're lucky, a 15-foot Great White feeding on a sea lion about a mile out in the channel. Mmmm mmmm.
