Very soon tokens will be completely gone from Philadelphia's SEPTA transit system, as card-based technology is slowly replacing coins of all ages. This old school fare token served streetcars of the Philadelphia Rapid Transit Company, which established the first underground subway line along Market Street in the early 1900s and was eventually bought by SEPTA in 1968.
